2018 Resolutions

Hey lovelies, it's been a long while hasn't it? Really blogging has taken such a massive back seat for the last month and whilst the break was necessary because I lost someone important in my life, but I'm so happy to be back to writing.

  • Let unnecessary things go - As far as it goes I'm quite a bitter lemon, and I don't help myself I internalise all my pain and anger at people and never let it go. In 2018 I want to try my best to stop doing this because it's easy enough to cut people out of your life and to move on. Why hold onto something that you don't need to?
  • Focus on my masters - My masters has now become so important to me, having applied for some PhD places I have upcoming interviews and I want to get into two universities more than anything in the world. I want to focus all my time and effort into doing as well as possible.
  • Be better with money - 2017 taught me that I'm honestly fucking awful with any form of saving because I'm naturally such an irrational person that if the opportunity arrives to spend copious amounts of money that I'll regret the next day then I'll probably do so. I'm hoping this year I can try a lot better to budget and save some money especially since I now actively make an income from blogging also.
  • Do more of what makes me happy - I think this is something that I want to do more because sometimes I feel like I often allow others to let me do a lot of what makes them happy, which leaves me pretty miserable and on the whole I'm trying to be happier and enjoy life a little more.
  • Finally get some more tattoos - As an artist I'm very very weird about getting tattoos and who I will let touch my skin, but in the last few months I got my second tattoo and tomorrow I'm getting my third and I really want to build a collection of art on my skin that I'm in love with. I know it's very contradictive to put this in the same post as saving money as tattoos are very pricey but everyone deserves a treat here and there right? If you'd like to see a little post about my tattoos I can do that.
  • Stop putting too much pressure on myself - I'm always working so hard on everything and pushing my body to the limits. 2018 is the year that that stops, yes I want to work hard but if I can't do something - I can't do it. I need to learn to take breaks so that I use my time the most productively and so I'm not always shattered.

I guess in a nut shell my goals for 2018 are hustle hard, save some money and be the happiest I can. I'm not setting any blog goals this year because I did last year and I feel like it sucked a bit of the fun out writing for me! I'd love to know what your goals are and I hope everyone has had an amazing Christmas and New Years.
