My Five Year Plan

Hey lovelies, so I graduated this week and it was honestly such a bitter sweet day, I was so full of mixed emotions but it got me thinking, what do I want to achieve in the next five years?

Get a Masters Degree

I start my Masters in ten weeks time, and I'm so excited. Not doing academic work, and being away from Northampton makes me so sad - I honestly feel a bit empty being away from my university town and the art world. My Masters is just over 12 months long, and I'm hoping that I can get a Merit, potentially a distinction. Whilst doing this I'm also hoping to work full time to save more money.

Apply for and then get a PhD

A PhD has always been my end goal for university, I'm looking to become a full time Fine Art Curator and Gallerist and I need the knowledge that comes with doing a Phd. It also gives me the freedom to teach at university level part time or full time whilst I look for a job in London when my PhD is done. I honestly couldn't imagine doing anything else, I've booked myself into some upcoming open days to look at Lancaster, Birmingham and Nottingham Trent because my applications will need to be handed in by the end of February. I'm going to apply to stay at Northampton as well but for now we'll have to see where I end up. I won't be able to start my PhD till January 2019 because my Masters

Save for a house deposit

I plan to work full time throughout my Masters and PhD if possible, I've been saving all through my BA and I'm hoping to continue this so that I can afford a house deposit when I'm finished. I make a fair amount of money from selling my paintings every year which is an added bonus for my savings. I'm hoping I can continue this through the next few years, and I'm lucky enough to make a little bit of money from blogging to.

Buy all the kittens

What's a home if it's not filled with the most beautiful and fluffy kittens?? My little oscar is in desperate need of a little brother to keep him company whilst I work. Since I'll moving in somewhere by myself for Phd, I can fill it with all the cats. If I do move with in someone else they'll need to be cat lover or that's a deal breaker for me.

Work on my self confidence

If I'm honest I'll be focusing the next five years on myself, and my career as far as relationships go it could go either way. I'm definitely going to be spending a-lot of time working on my self confidence, because you only get one body and one life and I don't want to waste mine hating my body?

I'd love to know what you're planning to achieve in the next five years, and hopefully I'll smash everything on this list.
